Greece & Greek Islands
Europe holidays
Overview
Greece offers a warm welcome, varying landscapes and one of the warmest, driest climates in Europe. Crete is an island offering 1000 kilometre of coastline dotted with coves, secluded bays and sandy beaches. Dominated by a caldera formed after an enormous volcanic explosion 3600 years ago, Santorini is quintessential Greece – think whitewashed buildings and blue-domed churches. Mykonos, meanwhile, is one of the most cosmopolitan and glamorous islands in Greece. The northern peninsula of Halkidiki – the Greek Riviera – is renowned for its outstanding natural beauty and has some of Greece’s finest sandy beaches.
